Professor Simon Wright was a brilliant scientist in a dying body. Captain Futures father, Roger Newton, designed a tank in which the brain of his friend and colleague could be preserved in a special serum. This allowed Simon Wright’s continued existence after his body finally gave up (on the right). At first Professor Wright was immobile and had to be carried by his crewmates. Later on Captain Future developed a new apparatus which gave the professor the power of flight and unrestricted mobility. Simon Wright is the teacher, mentor and life-long adviser of Captain Future.
