Captain Future
was born under the name Curtis Newton as the son of Roger and Elaine
Newton.
His parents were killed while he was still a baby and he has made
it his lifelong
task to fight evil. With all his power and the help from his crewmates
he fights
against injustice and oppression in the universe. As an orphan he
was reared by
Professor Simon, Grag and Otto which taught him their respective strengths
(on the right). |

Professor
Simon Wright
was a brilliant scientist in a dying body. Captain Futures
father, Roger Newton,
designed a tank in which the brain of his friend and colleague could
be preserved
in a special serum. This allowed Simon Wright’s continued
existence after his body
finally gave up (on the right). At first Professor
Wright was immobile and had to be
carried by his crewmates. Later on Captain Future developed a new
apparatus which
gave the professor the power of flight and unrestricted mobility.
Simon Wright is the
teacher, mentor and life-long adviser of Captain Future.

Grag
The robot was the first success in Roger Newton’s
quest for
the creation of artificial life (on the right).
He was built from
numerous metal parts, which gave him an incredible strength.
His modular body design allows various enhancements, such
as drills and lasers, which he hides in his steely chest.

Otto
Is an android life-form who was created by Captain
Futures father
shortly before his death (on the right). After
designing Grag it was
Newton’s second attempt at creating artificial life. Otto
was built
from some sort of rubbery substance which makes him dextrous
and flexible. Otto is a master of disguise and shape-change.

Yiek &
Oak
Oak (on the left) is, like his master Otto, a perfect
chameleon. He can
change his shape, his size and his weight at will. Oak loves to
irritate
people by constantly taking on new forms and imitating various items.
Yiek (on the right) is Grag’s constant companion. He is a
moon dog and
does not need to breath oxygen. He eats all kinds of ore and metal.
Yiek can communicate via telepathy.

Joan Landor
Is a young agent of the Interstellar Planetary Police.
Not much is known about her past or her private life.
Over time she has become a trusted member of the
Future-Crew. Joan is in love with Captain Future; he
sees the memory of his mother in the attractive agent.

Ken Scott
Is an orphan who desperately wants to become a member
of the Future-crew. On several times he has slipped on
board the Comet as a stowaway. Ken reminds the Captain
of his own childhood, but he seldom shows Ken his affection.

Ezella Garnie
Is the commander of the Interstellar Planetary Police.
He
has been a close friend of Captain Future for a long time.
Ezella has spent his whole life as a police officer fighting
the villains of the universe.
In the German comic books from Bastei he was married
toClarissa and they had a daughter named Jenny.

Mr. Cashew
Is the president of the Space-Government which
has its headquarters in New York. Only President
Carter knows in which sector of the galaxy Captain
Future is travelling at any given moment.

The Master of Megara (Bad Guy)
Has invented a device which allows him to change his density
and thereby slip through the matter-gap of the atom. With this
technique he was able to walk through walls and make himself
invulnerable to attacks. With the support of the inhabitants of
the planet Megara he was able to spread a plague that turned
humans into monsters, thereby plunging Megara into chaos.

Kuolen
Is a cunning and feared space pirate. In his disguise
as
a fabulous wizard of an interstellar circus he and his gang
roam the galaxy. He wanted to unlock the secret of the
Seven Stones to become the undisputed ruler of the universe.

Wrekker
Knows that the rare and valuable metal gravium is
essential for
interplanetary journeys, as it allows to travel between planets
with
different gravities. He knew of a secret gravium lode and planned
to destroy the other five mines with the help of aquatic creatures.
To gain control of the galaxy he had no scruples to use meteor-
strikes, explosions and human sacrifices Even the transfer of souls
is employed to further his wicked r his plans.
